Experience: A sales manager of cosmetic products must have a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in the cosmetics industry.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing is mandatory. A degree in fashion, beauty or cosmetology can be an added advantage.
Communication skills: Must have excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with different stakeholders such as customers, clients, and colleagues, both orally and in writing.
Leadership and management skills: Ability to inspire a team and lead them towards achieving common goals. Capacity to motivate and train sales representatives.
Knowledge of the cosmetics industry: Must have a great understanding of the cosmetics industry, market segments, competitors, consumer trends, and product knowledge.
Sales skills: Must possess skills to drive sales, including setting sales targets, closing deals and increase revenue
Networking abilities: Ability to build strong positive relationships with clients, sales representatives, and distributors and manage channel conflicts.
Analytical and strategic thinking: Sales managers must have the ability to analyze market trends and forecast future strategies to maximize profit and minimize risk.
Computer Knowledge: Must be familiar with MS Office and other sales management tools..
Time management: Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
